Even the best production, when paired with ill-matched packaging, can be ruined by appearances. Striking the right tone when it comes to imagery is key to a successful film, track or production, however, the market is awash with choices, and find the right choice can be overwhelming. We’ll break these down for you:
For CD’S
Plastic Wallets
A plastic wallet is one of the most cost-efficient packaging options available to you. Printed CD’s will show through clear plastic, meaning no additional marketing material is required on the plastic. Plastic wallets are ideal for sticking into magazines, brochures and print media, and for client sample packs. If you’re concerned about saving space while travelling to and from gigs, then they might be a good choice.
The Card Wallet
One of the most popular packaging solutions, the card wallet allows for the packet to be fully custom designed to your needs and style solutions. A variety of eco-friendly options are available, such as compostable, and those made from recycled materials. Like the plastic wallet, card is a cost-efficient option but also offers more when it comes to customisation. They are also ideal for attaching into magazines, booklets and brochures.
The CD Digi-Pak
Next up is the CD digi-pak. Not only do digipaks allow more room for artwork, photographs, and text than jewel cases or sleeves, but they allow room for more media. Combining a 4 page card option with a clear or black tray for the CD to sit in, the digi-pak is a fully customisable design option, providing more protection than a card wallet. The card provides room for additional information, marketing information or bonus collectables for buyers to keep.
The CD Jewel Case
The most traditional and easily recognised case across the world, the jewel case as two arms that support the lid. Inside the lid, a variety of sized booklets can be inserted, providing plenty of room for additional information. They aren’t the best for bulk transport as the case can be notoriously easy to crack but when it comes to displaying your hard work, these cases should be among the frJewel cases can come in single or multi disc formats plus offer the best protection for the disc.
FOR DVDS
Due to the shape and size similarities, all of the above options can also be considered for DVD packaging, however, there are also a number of additional options which suit the end user more appropriately.
DVD Digi-pak
Similar to the cd digi-pak, but more rectangular in shape, a highly customisable solution that gives clients an array of options when it comes to creating a captivating design. Often comes with options for either multi disc collections or supporting booklets for that extra professional look.
The Standard Amaray DVD Case
A sturdy casing that comes in a variety of colours, including black and clear, our most popular. A 2 or 4 page booklet completes the look, for the ultimate first impression, plus sticks with a familiar format that your audience will be totally familiar with.
